Bio: Cass Snider is a vocalist and composer based in Portland, Maine, by way of Georgia. They will be completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in music this autumn, having studied composition with Dr. Daniel Sonenberg and voice with Jenna Guiggey. They have been a member of Composers’ Ensemble, the USM Chorale, and Opera Workshop, and have been fortunate to be involved in many of the School of Music’s events such as the school’s recent production of Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte. Cass’s compositional style is fluid and ever-evolving, but is largely inspired by the impressionist movement, using music as a way to relay feelings and times in their life that are important. They are minoring in psychology and love to use composition as a way to combine their biggest passion of music and the human mind and experience. They hope you enjoy the album!

lyrics

I got a house that's full of wine
And I'm running out of time
‘Til i see you again
And there's not much time to go
And I'm sure you’d like to know
That I won't let you go.

And we'll fly off to the moon
Just me and you
A picnic there for two, you'll see.
A lily pad awaits beyond the ivy gates
And there we'll celebrate, you'll see
You'll see.

There's a drink I'm keeping cool
I'm saving it for you,
But this wait is awful cruel
And I wrote this serenade
For our home cabaret
To sing on rainy days.

And we'll fly off to the moon
Just me and you
A picnic there for two, you'll see.
A lily pad awaits beyond the ivy gates
And there we'll celebrate, you'll see
You'll see.

And we're flying to the moon
Just me and you
Our picnic's set for two, come see
Our lily pad's a date beyond the ivy gates
Come here and celebrate,
Come be with me
