about

"New England Folk Song" was written in collaboration with local songwriter Sigrid Sibley to musically embody the unique rural and urban character that exists in New England from the old stonewalled hill-farms of the country to the modern cities of the coast and the large amount of wilderness in between.

Clifford Cameron is a Maine-based pianist and composer with a particular fondness for improvised music. He obtained his Bachelors in Composition and Jazz Performance from The New School in NYC. His music consists of a merging of natural themes and settings with contemporary music. His compositions have premiered at various venues throughout New York and abroad from Bruno Walter Hall at Lincoln Center to the International Jazz Festival in Bern, Switzerland and Croatia.

lyrics

Roads go ever on and on,
Over rock and tree.
By caves where never sun has shone,
by streams that never find the sea.

Excerpt from JRR Tolkien
